By far the best way to have power steering on a 300 (or any tractor) is to install a dedicated pump to power the torque motor or have a pump with two preussure ports. I put a belt-driven on a '41 M that has a 1/2in. port for the main functions and a 3/8in. port for the power steering. Works good!! Give the power steering its own pump and you will NEVER REGRET IT. Using a diverting valve will always cause some problems And you will wish you had the dedicated pump!!! Do it right the first time and you will enjoy the ease of steering and you will never look back!!! Armand
