Yes, having turned the flow of fuel off, it will take some time for it to stop running because there is an accumulation of gas in the bowl in the carb. This does not indicate that the supply is adequate for the engine to work under load. The supply must be continuous and an adequate volume. I am confused by your LPG statement.
