The tractor sits several inches higher than a regular SA, and the loader may not reach the ground.
The loader is hardly useless. I use mine frequently around my little place, moving dirt/compost/rocks/parts around the yard, pushing back the brush, pushing snow. You want to limit what you put in the bucket to 300-400 pounds, but that much weight pretty much fills up the little bucket. Makes a nifty mini-crane or instant scaffolding.
You're not going to push over trees or dig ponds with it, but what are you expecting? It's an 18HP tractor. Loaders shouldn't be used for those things anyway; they were never designed for that kind of abuse.
