Use it-- Push or pull the Lever as rapidly as you can from end of travel to end of travel. Do not fr=ether it in or out at all. it will last a long long time. Our 350U is still on its original and it lived with 4 or 5 TA shifts per round plowing for 30 years, as well as snow plowing in 5th TA and shifting to direct while plowing 12" of snow!! No issue.
