Dellbertt,
Finding good used tires, PERIOD, is never easy. It's even worse now that times are tough for many people and new tires have gotten so expensive.
Good luck finding 24" truck tires too. Common sizes these days are 19.5", 22.5" and 24.5", and it's been like that for probably 20 years now. Frankly I don't know if there have been any trucks with real 24" tires since the 1940s.
If you know anyone in the hip-hop culture, or a car customizer, you might be able to get your hands on a pair of low-profile 24" tires from a low rider or something.
