Don't overlook the Farmall or IH 504 tractor. It uses the 153 cubic in motor and is rated for 43 hp. It is a non-sleeved engine and can be bored.
If I were contemplating your swap, I would get the parts manual for both tractors. If and when critical part numbers don't match up, I would then seek the advice of this board, salvage yards operators, and IH mechanics. A trip to the salvage yard with a set of calipers and tape measure will answer a lot of your questions. While you are at the salvage yard think about getting a ROPS for your tractor.
