Hugh"s was a plain-speaking voice of reason and constraint. He spoke to the point, and never got involved in flame-wars of religion, politics, or interpersonal bickering.
His advice came from a huge fund of knowledge, and often included his humorous touches of homespun wisdom. Any post in which I saw his name in the responses was an automatic "read" for me. And he provided me considerable help and several doses of confidence when I was over-hauling my own Super-A.
Absolutely no aspersions to Murray, who did everyone a favor by starting this thread, but Hugh was very proud of his name and his heritage, so in his memory...

Today's Featured Article - Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
