On the 86 series tractors the timing marks were moved to the front crank shaft pulley. Line up the correct marks. After bleeding the injectors, if it doesn't start, or if it does start and puts out a lot of smoke and no power, turn the injection pump shaft one turn and try again.
It doesn't seem logical that the engine would run with the injection of fuel coming at the end of the exhaust stroke instead of the compression stroke but I've seen it happen on several different engines.
