R.H.Sheppard Comnpany built diesel engines from about 1933-1963 tractors from 1949-1956 Built replacement diesel engine for gas farmall M starting in 1948 maybe til 1950. Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
