Sorry to disagree with the other poster. If you remove the belt pulley gear box you should be able to remove the inside wire of shift cable from anchor at shift lever. To finish removing cable go up from the bottom of clutch housing, where the cable passes through the bolt unscrew the smaller hex nut. It has threads on the inside also to fit cable, Not all cables you find will fit the nut. With cable retaining nut unscrewed and then removed from cable along with the anchor at shift lever the cable will pull out of the hole in clutch housing. If cable is bad cut it then remove nut.
