if your serial number was fbk-33934 x-1, as stamped on the id plate, that would indicate the tractor was originally a gasoline engine. with out the x-1 behind it , it was either kerosene of distillate. here are before and after pics of my 42 m. this was a kerosene tractor, you can see the small starting tank in the above photo, and then the small fuel cap on the hood in the lower pic. many of the old kero and distillate tractor were converted to gasoline when they were overhauled, adding a higher compression cylinder head.
