Me and my son have just recently redone a 1945 Farmall A engine. the tractor was sitting in our shed for about 5 years and haven"t done anything since purchased. so my son convinced me to redo it since it was locked up in number 2 cylinder so i figured mine as well. rebuilt engine and figured out the engine wont rev up all the way. so we took the governor apart and noticed that the thrust bearing was blown apart, the spring was almost worn through completely and the arm was a little egg shaped in the spring hole. we ordered the parts and put it back together and figured out it still wont rev up and everything in the governor was fine what should i do. we know there is a governor issue. thanks the tractor people
