Assuming you have a 10SI delco with three terminals. Two on the edge with 1/4" spade connectors, and 1 nut and stud terminal. The #2 terminal attaches to the nut and stud. The #1 terminal attaches to the idiot light. The other terminal of the idiot light is attached to the ignition switch terminal that is attached to the coil. If the idiot light is a bulb similar to a side marker light, it will work. It will not work with a LED type light. JimN
