That part is hard to find used. I've looked for a long time and not found one. You need a pulley close to the original size. 8" is way too big. The L-22 pulley runs much closer to the transmission than a Cub-22. So you cannot use a pulley from a Cub-22. For the same reason, you ARE able to use a pulley with a Browning tapered hub. That type pulley can be purchased from a number of sources. I got mine (4.5 inch diameter) from Grainger. Unfortunately, most of those places will not have a 10-spline hub. You can get a hub from a seller of rotary mowers (like Woods).
Although Jim in MA's pulley won't work, it may have a hub that fits.
