Tractorman: Thank you, it's rather nice to be back. I must admit I got a lot more work done around the place without YT. Even did some tractor wrenching, got my supply of bruises and wounds on my hands and arms higher than it's been in 3 years.
I split the 130 one day and replaced the lever that activates the release bearing. Least I don't need to worry about release bearing carrier turning on me anymore. It started doing that about 3 weeks ago and was rather annoying.
I have a project I bought early in the summer, 3 - 4 row StanHay precission vegetable seeders. These units are 3 point hitch, and well used I might add. I stripped them down, started acessing what I have. These will never be used commercially again, air and vacume has taken over. These are the type with belt for metering seed, quite a light unit and were sold new as single hand push units, 1 and 2 row for compact garden tractors as well as tool bar units with many rows. They will seed rows as close as 8". I think I'm going to have 10 good seeding units from the 12. I put one together for myself, 4 rows, 10" apart. With 140 set at 60" wheel tread, this will allow me to plant 4x10" rows of items like carrots, beets, onions, etc. between the tractor wheels. I can also get belts to seed 2x30" rows of peas, beans and sweet corn, leaving the center units empty. I'm on very early land for the area and have a market for bunched carrots, beets, oinions, etc. You guessed it, I don't have to do the picking.
I intend to sell the rest of them, that if parts don't get out of line. Some of the seed metering units turn hard, don't have a figure yet on cost of fixing those.
