I was out to my dad's in North Dakota and put in a 12 volt conversion kit on his 52 super M and along with doing this I set the valves, made sure the points were correct and it starts nice and it seems to run smooth ( I guess when I say that the valve train sounds smooth) but the tractor kind of gallops at an idle like it is getting a little to much gas at times if that makes any sense. Another thing is when you pull on the throttle to increase the rpm's you have to pull from an idle to 3/4 throttle before any changes at all happen to the rpm's. He had the carb off early this summer and cleaned it out because it had sat for 4 years. I guess my question or questions are where should I start? Am I wrong thinking this is a fuel/governor problem? Can i make any adjustment with the governor? I ran out of time to go any further with it but i did lube the linkage points on the throttle assembly etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You
