FYI:
Those gaskets are so thin because the width of them will affect the pressure. Some car builders use a sealant(Loctite gasket eliminator--GREAT stuff) instead of the gasket. Sometimes, depending on the application, they will stone the surfaces down to make a truer fit. These few thousands will increase the pressure. I don't neccessaryily recomend this for this application but it is why the gasket is so thin.....
