People are going to tell you to buy a manual. Shut down is very important. Be sure the motor is cooled off as much as you can get it by letting it idle before turning it off. Turning it off while hot can result in a cracked head. Some say you can turn it off without switching it back to gas, as it runs hotter on gas than diesel and you want it as cool as possible. I have never run one. Just telling you some of what others have posted. Which is in the archives. Steve
