1066 TA questions

when under load:

Is the TA supposed to shift into underdrive(low) when either brake is applied then shift back up when it is released?

When taking off from a stop in road gear:
Is it supposed to start out in low and automatically shift into hi as the speed increases??

When shifting from low to hi it seems to take a while before it actually shifts, the longer I used it in the field tonight the longer it took to shift, finally I said the heck with it and headed it fer the shed.

Any suggestions??

Also the brakes act goofy too, and ya really gotta push to get it to stop esp. at low RPMs.

My FIL just bought one and the above seems to be what it is doing. He has a 1206 and a 706 and neither of them act that way.
