I have a '40 A with a 5 ft. L59 that I bought a couple years ago without the center roller, then last year I bought a '53 Super A also with a 5 ft. L59 that has the center roller. Well I liked it so much without the scalping I bought a roller kit for the '40. I also had the casters set towards the center on the '40, which got moved out like I got the '53 already set at.
If you move the deck towards the rear, you will have to be carefull backing up with the deck lifted, because in the right circumstances the rear tire can catch the deck and it will ride up the tire. Been There Done That!!
