It has been a couple years since we ran into a problem with the "L" in front of the part number. The L may mean it is a left hand mower. I could be wrong. We put a left hand mower on a Farmall B and then blades spun the wrong way. The Farmall A setup used a left Hand mower but the Farmall B used a right hand. I am unsure why they did this. We made it work by changing the baffles underneath and putting right hand baldes on. The problem is the threads on the left hand mower are opposite of the right hand. we just tighten real good with an air impact and they stay.
