If a lot of oil leaks just when you pull lever, it sounds like you blew what they call the manifold gasket on the pump, and you need to remove pump and take it out of it's reservoir case to get at the bolts inside. Not difficult except engaging operating link when reassembling, I put internal linkage to raise position and put a vise grip on outside portion of lift lever and feel it in to place, and lifting pump back in, couple guys with a rod through bottom or floor jack.
