T Wheat: That engine serial number compared to tractor serial number is about correct. When Super A production started a spread started to develop between the two, by 1951 nothing for the numbers to be off by 2,000-3,000. The head is correct. You've got an original tractor with 3-1/8" sleeves.
Block part number 251069 R1 was the factory block used in Farmall C and Farmall SA up to serial number 310300. They could all be fitted with 3" or 3-1/8" pistons. From the factory only 3" were used. In 1951 the block changed to number 354898 R1 and used in balance of SA all SC. It could be fitted with 3", 3-1/8" or 3-1/4" pistons. 3" was used in SA until serial number 356001, then SA changed to 3-1/8" bore. SC was always 3-1/8" from factory.
