I Have been trying to replace the front transmission oil seals on my '52 Super M and have been running into some trouble. Had a very difficult time removing the coupler on the front input shaft of the transmission and finally after a lot of heat, hammering and a makeshift puller got it loose only to find that it was hitting the clutch shaft. I jiggled the clutch shaft connector and got the coupler on the transmission input shaft off and have gone about as to replace the seal. Looking now I believe I need to remove the clutch shaft to re-insert the coupler on the transmission shaft. What is the proper way to remove this, I assume that it is not held in by much and shouldn't take much to come out. But my real question is how do you re-insert the shaft into the clutch and flywheel? Isn't there a pin on the clutch shaft that must line up in the flywheel? How do I know if it is installed correctly. Thanks. -David Goode, Coggon, IA
