The "gen" light is always on and it does not keep the batteries charged. I might volunteer to look at it next week. Did these tractors come with a Generator or an alternator? I would start by taking the alternator to a Parts store to test it. I have a couple of Delco alternators here that take a four wire plug. Could one of them be converted to work with the two wire plug that is on the tractor? If the alternator is not the problem, what is the next most likely problem? Is the idiot light wired the same as a voltmeter would be wired, or like an ampmeter? I have both type of gauge that I can remove from tractors to test the systems. Thank you Steve
