Super M waterpump

The Super M seems to be running a little warmer than usuall this spring. It is not in the red, but the needle on the guage is about where the green turns to red. The waterpump seems to be working, because I can take the radiator cap off and see the water moving a little. I tought my waterpump may need a little grease, so I greased it up good. Fired it up and it slung part of the grease back out, guess it was either too full or the seal in the pump is bad. Which do you think? Since these radiator caps are presserized, could mine be bad and causing it to run warmer? What else could cause this? Thanks!
