I lined up the tooth with the corner knocked off with the grove marked with the c or o which was the only mark on the gear still will not fire may not be putting it on the tractor right when the timing marks are lined up and the mag is turned to #1 on the distributor cap the lugs to the impulse coupling does not line up they are close but I have to turn the mag to the block then back to put in the bolts the book said to "crank the engine one complete revolution to the next top dead center then pull the upper part of the mag away till the impulse coupling trips" just turn once back till the timing marks line up or till #1 is back to top dead center thanks for the help
