That will not do the trick. That wire From #1 terminal needs to go to the ignition switch ignition terminal. It also needs to have a light bulb (clearance size real bulb) or a diode (3 amp 150piv radio shack) spliced into the wire. The light needs to have one end attached to the #1 terminal, the other light lead needs to go to the ignition switch. The diode will also do well, and it is put in the line with the end that has a white band around it toward the alternator. JimN
