The original owners manual says to set the main fuel adjusting screw 2 1/2-3 turns open and the idle fuel adjusting screw 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 turns open. The IT manual also says clockwise rotation of the idle adjusting needle will enrich the mixture; whereas, clockwise rotation of main jet adjusting screw will lean the mixture. The main fuel adjusting screw is the one at the bottom of the carb with the locknut, and the idle screw is the top one with the spring underneath it. After the engine warms up, you can/should tweak these adjustments. Hope this helps.
