A fellow gave me cultivators off a C, middle and rear units, and I need to make them fit in the middle of a newer 35 hp 4 wheel drive tractor to cultivate some corn. I need to make up some new short, 32 inches or so, toolbars and the old IH bar is 1-3/8". I don't want to cutup and destroy the old IH stuff, I want to make up a couple new short tool bars and already have some 1-1/4" 1020 quality bar stock can I use the 1-1/4" or will it be to soft? What Quality bar stock should I get? I want to reuse the old trip type cultivator shanks with wedge bolt type clamps. bjr
