Cliff, you have a couple things confused. The vacuum is created in the cylinder chambers through the pistons and valves actions. A clogged inlet filter would affected this. The crankcase sees the blow by from compression and would be slightly positive. The crankcase is not very well sealed and if for some reason an excessive vacuum or pressure could occur the seals at the front and rear of the crankshaft would vent the crankcase along with the oil filler cap, the vent tube and the oil dip stick tube. The damage you are seeing on the pan could be from internal breakage resulting from a broken connecting rod or could be from external causes such as improper jacking or dropping the tractor. Since you stated that the tractor had run hot, it probably has rod problems. Better leave the machine for an experienced mechanic with deep pockets.
