Seriously, getting the "exact right oil" is nowhere near as fussy.
Is it wet? Is it slippery? Does it say "motor oil" on the jug?
If so, it will work just fine in these old 4-cylinder tractors.
Now, if you get up into the 6-cylinder gassers, things are a little bit fussy. I know ol' tractor vet likes his IH Low Ash SAE30 for 6-cylinder gassers, and that's what I'd run if I had one because that's what we always have run on the farm. Knowing how easy it is to wreck one of those 6-cylinder gas engines from personal experience...
