My neighbor brought down a 340 that won't run under load. Tag is missing. He thought it was a 1962. What I've found so far - 1. Don't believe the governor is opening up? Linkage is pretty sloppy. Found some info in archives on setting but it was sketchy. Can someone email me process. 2. Found about 1/2 oz. of rust dust in bottom of dist cap. Is this OEM for Farmall :)? Point spring broke when I moved the points. Point gap .020? It did run but crapped out going up hill. 3. Has Marvel Shevlor carb. Would guess a good cleaning is in order. Can you get a carb gasket without ordering a whole kit? Sorry for long post, just want to try and help him out. Don't really want to buy manuals since it not my tractor. Any help appreciated. Thanks Tom B
