Check the free play first. With your hand (not running, and blocked if not flat ground) push on the clutch pedal. It should move easily for about an inch from the platform contact point where it rests when your foot is off of it. If it pushes pretty hard immediately, adjust the rod/clevis to have that inch of free play. Now try it normally to see if it works correctly if not, the clutch will probably need to be replaced. It can be done without splitting the tractor from underneath. there are many posts on this sight (search For box) to get into the replacement. Today's Featured Article - Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony.
