I've got a lot of reference stuff around and just happen to know that FAA indicates an A or SuperA. The range of your serial number (quite high) suggested a Super A, and then it was just a matter of looking the number up to determine the year.
Without having all the references to even get a starting point . . . you did just what I would have done which was to ask. Armed with the model, you can click on the link to serial numbers over on the left side of this page and then look up serial numbers to determine the year.
