The level in the steering gear housing was only down maybe a 1/4" from last year and is not really leaking much at all. I probably used 90 Wt gear oil in it last year too, but couldn"t remember. So, where is the "vent" hole in the filler plug? I don"t remember seeing any holes in the plug when I took it off and cleaned it all up? I have figured out that its a 1958 International Cub Lo-Boy from looking at the pictures on this site and comparing serial numbers. I bought it about 25 years ago with a bunch of attachments and fast hitch from a dealer to mow the grass with. My wife doesn"t like it and wants to get rid of it and buy a new 0-turn John Deere mower for the yard (about 3 acres).
