You have a gem there! I am about 3/4 completed with a near-perfect restoration of my 1958 450 LP, s/n 25804 C CR. I have Guy Fay's "Numbered Series Farmalls" book and it has production numbers in the back. Problem is, I don't have the book here at work. If my memory serves me correctly (which it usually doesn't), there were around 1,100 450 LPs built. I will bring my book tomorrow and confirm.
Hold onto that LP head! I hope it's in better shape than mine (pulled the head off my engine twice to repair cracks). Regarding the T/A, they can be put back in if it's a factory delete tractor. There is a shaft in the clutch housing that takes the place of the T/A if it was not installed in the factory. I know this because mine came from the factory WITH a T/A (according to the serial number), but it doesn't have one now. Also, my serial number indicates it came from the factory with a transmission-driven PTO, but it was cobbled up in the field sometime during its life and now has an independent PTO unit on it (which I like).
I have over 1,000 pictures detailing my restoration journey on this thing over the last 2 1/2 years. I am interested in sharing them with you if you'd like.
As far as worth/value, always hard to say. I MIGHT be able to sell mine fully restored for $6,000, but I have over $7K in just retoration expenses to date (not including the $3K purchase price). It will be a fantastic tractor when it's done (hopefully this year). Have fun with yours!

Today's Featured Article - History of the Nuffield Tractor - by Anthony West. The Nuffield tractor story started in early 1945. The British government still reeling from the effects of the war on the economy, approached the Nuffield organization to see if they would design and build an "ALL NEW" British built wheeled tractor, suitable for both British and world farming.
