mkirsch has a good point. There is no reason why 6 volts won't spin an H over with no problem if your battery cables, connections, and starter, and charging system are in good shape. If they aren't, those problems will just keep getting worse with the 8 volt battery, until that won't even work. A place to start is to make sure all your battery cables are at least 1/0 gauge (2/0 is better on a 6 volt system) and that all your cable connection points and grounds are clean. That alone generally makes a huge difference in the speed these tractors turn over.
