Alright...it was a faulty injector as someone or all mentioned the possibility. It now starts up with MUCH LESS SMOKE and running pretty good. Think I may have another injector not performing at optimumm, however.
Aside that issue I am indebted to your expertise, I must ask yet another question:
The hydraulic system has been idle for as many years as the tractor has sat idle. Thus, it does not respond to up and down action with lever. Any hints?
Also, the PTO will not engage with much pressure on the lever I am afraid I will break if pushed any harder. Any hints?
