Jim - Sir! I would assume that your comment about cobbled up power stering installations is a reflection of your opinion of the fabrication ability and capability of the people which use this forum. However, that is an extremely inaccurate accessment. We have all the technical expertise and machine tooling necessary to design, machine and assemble components and complete turnkey machinery for our ranch and commercial properties. A 4 year degree in Agricultural Engineering also helps. Regarding Chatty Cathey's request for a power steering unit for the SMTA which she bought for her husband, a Char-Lynn unit and a $70 priority valve rated at 3 GPM along with a pressure and a return hose will complete a new power steering unit installation. The SMTA does have live hydraulics so a secondary power steering pump is not necessary. The total cost for this package is also around $400 and all components are new. Since I buy numerous merchandise from a company called Motion Industries, the prices that I stated are correct. This forum is intended, as is the case with most forums, to provide for the dissemination of useful information and cost saving tips for all of the antique tractor people. After I came in from setting the irrigation water checks for the night, I e-mailed you regading the M&W 9 speed transmission. If you are interested, please respond via E-mail.
