The answer to question 3 is yes. The pump is a fixed displacement pump that is continually running. After the installation of your bypass block and hydraulic valve (the valve MUST be an open center type valve (as opposed to closed center)) the flow path will be something like the following. Fluid starts in the resevoir (touch control unit) flows through the bypass block into the line to the pump, goes through the pump, out the other line, gets diverted by the bypass block, passes through your new lines and valve (please note I believe your new system will have no safety valve unless you install one so if you dead end it you'll build whatever pressure the pump is capable of making), and then back into the touch control unit to be available for rockshaft movement.
Please note that unless I'm mistaken you'll only be able to use ONE funtion at any one time, ie. only one spool on your valve and the touch control will only work when you aren't using your additonal hydraulics (and vice versa).
Also you should be aware of limited capacity of the resevoir in the touch control and you will need to keep a close eye on the level or even install and additional resevoir.
