Two things happened to me with mine and a friends H. His did nearly the same thing but then reved way high...in placeing the carb back on, somehow he turned the "governor throttle shaft" and it was stuck making no power and then when he adjusted the carb to fix that, the motor reved too high popping and what a scare. Turned the governor shaft and works great. The other thing, I added old gas and found it was realy old and probably water in it. Killed, started up and popped and no power and killed again. Drained, new gas on mine and bingo...works great. Dan
