I have a '51 farmall h. I keep having problems with burning the points up. I can put in a new set, drive a mile, and they will be burnt. I have had the generator rebuilt, new voltage regulator put on, new wires, new coil, a resistor, new condensor, and a good distributor put on. I am running an 8-volt batt. with a 6-volt system, but have a resistor on it.
If anyone Knows what the problem might be, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! Any help at all will be useful.
