I think I know what happened. I had my H steering shaft apart when we fixed the front end a few yrs ago. After reassembly, I had the same problem as you have. I discovered that somehow the whole vertical post in front of you, with the lightbar, the steering wheel, switches, etc. had moved forward (or backward, I forget which). If you can make the needed adjustment with that, I"m betting you will be ok. It"s a 1 1/2" pipe fastened on the bottom with 3 bolts and should not move, but check this out and see if that will help you. I really think in my case the steering shaft and etc. had been "worked on" years ago and was improperly reassembled and that post then had some forward or backward torque on it...just a theory. It looks like even a small 1/8-1/4" forward/backward movement will affect the throttle notches greatly because of how it is all mounted. Far better mechanics than I will look wildeyed at this idea...I usually can figure out what to do, but am not very good at bending wrenches. Writing checks for tractor work, now I"m real good at that. LA in WI
