You can fill through the rear hole on the side if you like but there is a 3 hole cover on top of trans cover if it is a farmall model, can't remember on the utility. The deal on the front plug on left side is the oil will slowly fill to that level so let it sit a bit after filling to level on rear hole as you may need to add a little more . The original idea of front hole was (you were supposed to fill to the front hole level if the tractor was standing on an incline during stationery work)so just basically ignore it. You may want to flush it out a bit. I know it is expensive to just throw away oil now days but I would put in about 5 or 6 gallons of diesel fuel with one gallon of oil and drive it around a little,drain , then fill with fresh hy-tran or hy-guard fluid.
