The length, from end to end, of the actual pipe that the lights clamp to is roundabout 28 inches. Lot of interference with the tape but it is pretty close to that length. The actual distance of that same pipe, at the steering support column (center) and between the top of the pipe and the bottom of the actual steering shaft is 2.25" . This is on an MTA. IF there are differences in the light arrangements on prior M's, someone else will have to interject. It wasn't hard to get at if you need more info...just cold as heck out there.
