Mark: Canada, particularly eastern Canada is loaded with these British tractors. B-250, B-275, B-414, 434 are very common. I've only ever seen a couple of 276. There is, or at least there was last week, a real nice looking 276D for sale at Rath Farm Equipment at Arnprior in eastern Ontario. I picked that up on IRON SOLUTIONS last week. He also has a couple of decent looking 434 diesels.
I remember when the 276 came on the market, we had been getting 275 3-4 years. It seemed like 276 was only around a few months until 414 hit the market. I have a feeling IH never intended to introduce 276 to North America, and they ran out of 275 before the 414 was introduced. The 276 probably had a 2 year production and sales run across Europe. There are good records when each of these were in production. Problem is I can't remember the years each were sold in Canada. Maybe JimB or some other faithful Canadian YTer can give us the answer. My tractors from those years were all Farmalls.

"Barry Seiler, owner of Country Town Farm Supply store used to invite people up to the Johne Deere store. He would give hats and a free meal for everyone that brings a tractor." Elliott said while this
