I agree that having a PTO pump isn't the best option, but for many of us a loader tractor isn't used for PTO work very often so it might be a cheaper alternative to an upgrade of the tractor's pump.
And a PTO pump with either 21, 23, or up to 40 GPM (all available for under $500) is faster than 17 GPM.
