Hi Bill, If it is a Diesel engine the hydraulic pump is at front right of engine, IIRC it is driven by cam gear. If you have power steering there will be two hydraulic pumps, second one is stacked behind the first one. Go to CaseIH parts at: http://www1.caseih.com/northamerica/PartsService/Pages/search.aspx then search for 434 page 5-14 shows hydraulic pump and plumbing. Is it cold where you live? Since it stopped working all of a sudden, I would suspect ice somewhere. When we had a 434 with a 1501 loader and it was -30F sometimes the hydraulic controls for the loader would freeze and stop working.
