We have run the pump on our H for close to 50 years that way all winter. We had a home made snow plow for it and then ran the buzzsaw lift that way. The double acting valve sat between the throttle lever and the head light. Tank was under the steering shaft on top of the fuel tank with a hose to the valve from the pump then returned to the tank under the steering shaft drained from there to the fill hole with a 3/4 hose.
